Starting again is tough. That’s for sure. I’m a serious yo yo dieter and have done this weight loss journey several times already. You can read about my recent attempt here. Well, I decided to do a restart here as part of a community and to hold myself accountable.
I have goals set up and need to go back to basics. When I was successful before, I would document my weight each week no matter what. Whether it went down, maintained, or even gained. I documented it. So, I’m doing it again. Friday is my usual weigh in day, but I don’t want to wait like I usually do. I want to start now. So, I’m going to weigh in and do my best to log it. Also, I’m going to document my current goals:
- Reach first 5 lbs lost (from new start date 2/18
- Reach 8 lbs lost
- Reach 10 lbs lost
- Get back to Overweight BMI range
- Reach 12 lbs lost
- Reach 15 lbs lost
- Reach 18 lbs lost
- Reach 20 lbs lost
- April 11th progress check!
- July 11th progress check!
- October 10th progress check!
A tool I’m utilizing is marking a calendar too. I restarted this week, and it hasn’t been going well, but a start is a start:

Besides that, things have been good. We celebrated valentine’s day as a family, and I got some roses:

And that’s about it for my start. I want to keep posts short to encourage me to keep going. The thought of writing a lot can stop me from doing it. I’ll report my weigh in on Friday. I’m nervous because it’s that time ladies. I haven’t been eating very well either. A new start is a new start. It’s like ripping off a band aid. I just need to get it over with!
-Happy goal getting!
